Responsibilities

Program Management – Multiple Workstreams

  • Manage the complete portfolio of work for the account(s) assigned
  • Be aware of the overall status of each workstream, and able to clearly articulate it in
    conversation whenever requested
  • Document and communicate the overall status of each workstream to the client and
    internal team on a regular basis
  • Understand the risk and dependencies associated with each workstream, and actively work to mitigate those risks and reduce those dependencies whenever possible

Project Management – Single Workstream/Project

  • Understand and document the teams capacity, based on the agreement and individual team members availability
  • Working together with the Account Manager, ensure there is clearly defined work in an organized backlog, and an ammount to sufficiently keep the team busy and operating at their capacity in the near future
  • Plan/schedule work for each team member based on client priority and team capacity
  • Ensure all tasks are clearly defined, accurately estimated, scheduled, and assigned to the appropriate resource via PM tool selected
  • Follow up with team members as needed to ensure tasks are being competed on time and to Cognetik standards
  • Lead daily scrum meetings, facilitating communication between team members and
    taking/circulating notes
  • Actively work to keep the team unblocked on all tasks
  • Document and communicate the status of your workstream to the client and internal team on a regular basis
  • Understand any risks and dependencies associated with your workstream, and work with your Program and/or Account Manager to mitigate those risks and reduce those dependencies whenever possible
  • Working together with the Program and/or Account Manager, forecast resource needs based on incoming volume and type of work

Time & Budget Tracking

  • Define “tasks” in Harvest based on scope of work and agreed activities/deliverables to ensure proper tracking is possible
  • Follow up with team members as needed to ensure all time is accurately logged to the right tasks on a regular basis
  • Ensure Cognetik is operating within the range of the budget agreed
  • Maintain time and budget reports, generate as needed or requested by Account
    Manager, Finance Director, or client
  • Maintain external cost reports, generate as needed or requested by Account Manager, Finance Director, or client

Champion the client’s business requirements

  • Work face-to-face with clients and other stakeholders to gather, understand, and
    document the requirements of any given request or project.
